Home Care professional FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

  

Our staff are of upmost importance to us and therefore we aim to do our utmost to support and look after them. We are looking for vibrant, enthusiastic, and caring individuals with a full UK driving licence to join our team. We are proud to be different to other homecare providers in the area. We are a small friendly business, inspired by personal experiences of finding quality care for loved ones. 

The role involves providing personal care- Showers, Incontinence care, Meal preparation, traveling to and from appointments, shopping/errands, Companionship, and assistance with medication to a variety of clients with a range of medical conditions.


Pay rate £11.50 weekdays, £12.75 weekends, and further enhancements on Bank Holidays. Plus, mileage (25p per mile). Our Shifts are based on a 2-week rota (in advance), 1 weekend on, 1 weekend off. 

We provide care 7 days a week from 7am till 10pm daily.

All successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.


Skills and qualities required:

• Experience preferred but not essential as full training provided.

• Must be 18 or over and have the right to work in the UK

• Availability to work alternative weekends and a mixture of early and late shifts.

• Dedicated, caring, punctual and driven with a cheerful outlook.

• Reliability, trustworthiness, and Punctuality.

• A full driving licence and your own transport are essential due to travelling to and from   

   client’s homes. 

 • Proof of Covid- 19 Vaccination (required)

The main duties of this post include: 

· Helping or supervising client washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

· Preparing client meals and snacks and feeding or supervising eating and drinking.

· Administering medications.

· Domestic chores, washing clothes and linens, shopping and other domestic duties as needed.

· Transporting the client to medical appointments and helping them run errands

· Monitoring client health conditions

· Support each client’s wish to remain at home.

· Encourage each client’s independence.

· Read, understand, and follow each clients’ Care Plan.

· Support and assist clients with personal care tasks that will be detailed in the Care Plan. 

· Provide social contact for clients.

· Represent the company in a professional manner and to not bring the company into  

 disrepute.

· Adhere to the policies and procedures.

· Participate in mandatory training when required to update your skills and knowledge.

· Report any concerns about a client or colleague to your line manager or appropriate 

  services.

· Log your completed duties for a client in a Record of Care on the clients profile.

· Always exercise discretion and confidentiality

· To carry out all tasks in a manner that demonstrates respect for the privacy, dignity and 

  value of all users, regardless of severity or disability or personal circumstances

· Being particularly vigilant for signs of distress or anxiety in Service Users; any 

  deterioration in their physical and /or mental health, or safety of the environment, and  

  to report these as a matter of urgency to the office.

· Actively encourage Service Users, according to their capabilities, to participate in all 

  aspects of daily living activities.

· Develop and maintain personal contact with the Service User through talking and  

  listening.

· Provide support as part of a caring team, liaising with informal carers, other agencies.

   situations

  always presentable and completely trustworthy.
